I am a touring DJ who plays different venues around the world and events from Jay Z's after parties to Sundance Film Festival, Super Bowl 50 (go Broncos!) to Art Basel to The World Championships.
I still tour (playing over 200 shows a year) and I love it!
I had friends who were getting married and were suffering through choosing a DJ (I know how hard it can be!), they didn't want the cheesy wedding DJ, they wanted something special.
I agreed, reluctantly, and DJ'ed a few close friends weddings. After experiencing the excitement and importance of their big day, and how big of a difference amazing music can play in creating an unforgettable event, I knew I wanted to do more.
I found that I could bring my experience from the international level, event production and music to create a wedding day that no one else could.
The thing is, we put a lot of effort into the weddings we agree to do and with our busy schedule touring we only do a handful of weddings a year.
I'll tell you why we are different, and how I am here to help your make your wedding the best day of your life.
A Different Standard
A Different Standard
The majority of wedding DJ’s are not actually DJ’s at all...
...but are people who are hired by large companies “based on their personality” who are primarily taught MC’ing skills and then given a playlist. They do not have turntables and, instead, use a machine that is similar to two iPods where they have a playlist and when one full song ends, they stop it, let a few seconds of dead air pass, and slowly fade up the next song.
This is not the end of the world, but I am sure you have been to many weddings where no one danced, the DJ seemed out of touch, and there was no energy. This has never happened at any of our weddings!
We work with you from start to finish, and no detail is overlooked.
Your Vision
Your Vision
We work with you from start to finish.
It often goes overlooked just how much your wedding DJ sets the mood during your entire day. I want it to be perfect for you.
This is your big day, and I can’t wait to hear all about it over dinner or drinks with you and your fiance. I want to take the time to learn about and discuss your big picture vision, the mood you want to convey, the atmosphere you want to create, and your guest overview and breakdown, so we can make this the best day of your lives.
These specific details are important and should not be overlooked, so we’ve created a collaborative Google doc that accounts for all of your wedding specifics, such as the processional song, your first dance, the father-daughter and mother-son dances, the garter and bouquet tosses, and must play – and, more importantly, most NOT play – songs.
Full Service
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and your special touches are just as important as making sure everyone dances their shirts off during the reception. We have become masters of the full wedding day. Mic’ing up your officiant with a lapel mic, doing song cues as you and your wedding party walk down the aisle, and setting up a separate sound system for your cocktail area are all ways we can take care of your day for you.
